Sessions
Practically speaking the analysis consists of a series of conversations of about 45 minutes between two people. Sessions are usually planned two weeks apart, although this can vary depending on the client. Every therapy is made to fit to the unique needs of your personal situation.
You can consider the therapy as a creative process, a journey of exploration in which you discover new parts of your personality and get to know them better and better. The goal of the sessions is to take away the barriers that precent you from shaping your life in a confident, positive manner. This is done by bringing ideas and emotions from your subconscious into your conscious awareness so that eventually, your behaviour and actions fit increasingly well with who you are at your core. Effectiveness
The big difference with many other methods of therapy is that analytical therapy effectuates changes in your subconscious. That’s why it’s sometimes also called ‘depth psychology’. The advantage of this is that we fix the problem at the roots, not the branches, so the improvements you achieve are permanent.
